Alethea McGrath
Alethea McGrath was born in 1920 in Australia. By the time McGrath was out of her high chair she was entertaining her mother so her passion started early.
McGrath's debut at the Playbox Performance Community in Brisbane was cut short by World War II (only three performances showed). After the war she re-located to London where she studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After her studies at GSMD she headed back to Australia where she taught Speech and Drama in Tasmania, and at the Methodist Ladies College in the Melbourne suburb of Kew. until 1983.
