Richard Jones
Richard Jones (né Richard Henry Louen Jones) was born Louen (a ship's engineer) and Iris Jones on March 18, 1945 in Insole Close, Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales, UK.
As a child Jones attended Village School in Llandaff, then to Cathays High School in Cardiff where he learned to speak Welsh, and earned A-levels in physics, chemistry, and maths. From there he attended the University of Wales in Swansea and by 1968 had earned a BSc in physics and chemistry.
In 1969 Jones moved to St. Albans where he became a scientific officer at the Building Research Establishment at Garston where he specialized in ventilation, condensation, and mold growth in buildings.
During his spare time he would become an extra in films, and study painting in the '70s under Professor Ernst Fuchs, Wolfgang Manner, and Sargy Mann.
Jones died on November 18, 2009 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England, UK. He was survived by his wife Louisa (2005 - to his death).
