Howell died in August of 2003 in Braintree, Essex. He was survived by his ex-wife, June, but she died the following year only a year after re-marrying.

1960s (mid) - 1971 - Directed a series of "glamour" (sexploitation) films, most often with his partner and wife June Palmer. Brides in the Bath, June in Orbit, Calamity June, Danger Girl were some of the titles.
1964 - Married model/actress June Palmer, they were divorced in 2000. He was 44, she was 24 (this is based on actual documents, the information which states that the marriage took place at any other time is incorrect.)
1960-1961 - Started and ran Strobe Studios, a top model photography studio in Clapham, South London.
