Steve Gawley
Steve Gawley was born in 1952.
In 1954 Gawley lived in Long Beach with his family where he stayed until graduating from college.
As with most other effects guys, his love for the art came at a very young age and stayed with him until college. Gawley attended California State University at Long Beach where he studied Industrial Design. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 and in the same year started working at ILM as one of the first fifteen visual effects guys to work on the original Star Wars.
Gawley lives in Petaluma with his wife, Amy, they have two children, James and Rachel.
