Diamond, Peter

Peter Diamond

Peter Alexander Diamond was born on August 10, 1929 in Sunderland, Durham, England, UK.

Mr. Diamond was trained at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Art).

Was married actress Olga H. Camilleri-Aguis in 1954.

Diamond had more than a 1000 credits, many more than what is listed below.

From Mr. Diamond's Official Site:

"In a career spanning nearly fifty years, stuntman, actor, producer and director Peter Diamond has worked on many of the films and series, and with many of the performers that have defined modern cinema and television.

His early projects included working with the legendary Errol Flynn in The Dark Avenger and on the series Errol Flynn TV Theatre. More recently, as well as constant work on series like Heartbeat, Peter was brought in to train Sir Anthony Hopkins for his role in The Mask of Zorro

Peter taught Harrison Ford how to throw a screen punch for Raiders of the Lost Ark, used a torn pair of trousers to convince Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher to swing across the Death Star chasm in Star Wars, fought on behalf of Robert Duvall on top of a speeding train in The Seven Per Cent Solution, and got his head lopped off by Christopher Lambert in a car park in Highlander.

Mr. Diamond has directed episodes of the TV series' Zorro and Highlander, worked with new Bond villain Robert Carlyle in Looking After Jo-Jo, and has been involved in many episodes of Z-Cars, Dr. Who, Danger Man, The Prisoner, The Avengers, The Saint, and The Return of the Saint, Sherlock Holmes, and many, many more

Three Carry On films, more appearances in the original Star Wars films than the main cast, a Muppet movie, a Tarzan film, Dracula films with the great Christopher Lee, and a turn on a windmill for a Solvite advert

The list of Peter's achievements is endless. So, if you've ever wanted to learn how to use a lightsaber, then try learning from the original Jedi Master; the one who instructed Luke Skywalker.
And Darth Vader. And Obi Wan."

Mr. Diamond passed away on Saturday March 27, 2004 in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England, UK.  He had a severe stroke while driving home from the set of Heartbeat six days earlier.
