John Considine
John Considine was born on January 2, 1938 in Los Angeles, CA to producer John W. Considine and theatre chain heiress Carmen Pantages. His brother Tim was also an actor, think 50's 60's Disney (The Shaggy Dog, and Mouseketeer), and two years younger than John. Their uncle Bob Considine (John W's brother) was a newspaper columnist and sportscaster. His grandfather was John W. Considine I (a rival of Carmen Pantages father, Alexander, in theater ownership). Considine was the brother-in-law of actress Charlotte Stewart (married to Tim at one time).
Considine was taking Tai Chi classes near Seattle in 2000, when he got to know the class a little better he started a film festival (of his own films) and invited the class and would cook dinner for them. It has become a tradition ever since and is called the Baru Film Festival (named after his character in The Thirsty Dead).
Considine lives in Seattle (Port Townsend), WA with his wife Astrid.
