Keisha Castle-Hughes
Keisha Castle-Hughes was born on March 24, 1990 in Glen Innes, Mt. Wellington, Auckland, North Island, New Zealand to Tim Castle, a Pakeha (New Zealand European) and Maori mother, Desrae Hughes. She has two younger brothers, Liam and Rhys. The family moved to Australia in 1994. Keisha said that she may not continue with acting because she finds it difficult and that she would rather be a science teacher.
Keisha was chosen from 10,000 acting hopefuls for the role of Pai in Whale Rider and she's never had any stage experience (no acting ever) previous to Whale Rider.
Castle-Hughes is married to Jonathan Morrison. She has a daughter, Felicity-Amore, with Bradley Hull (a previous partner).
