John Birkinshaw
John Birkinshaw was born on January 2, 1932 in Windsor, Berkshire, England, UK to Ernest Birkinshaw and Frances (nee Cullingworth) Birkinshaw. He was raised in a mining village where he worked in the mines for a short time (at age 14) until he moved southward to find work.
Birkinshaw lived in Water Oakley, Windsor until his death (suicide) on August 9, 1998, at Heatherwood Hospital, Ascot, where he was being treated for depression.
