Sebastian Felipe Xavier Fernández-Armesto was born on June 3, 1982 in the UK to Dr. Felipe Fernández-Armesto (historian) and Lesley Patricia Hook , he has one brother, Federico David Fermin Arturo Fernández-Armesto.
Armesto attended Eton College (1995-2000) where he studied drama.
