David Ankrum


David  Wheeler Ankrum was born on May 2, 1947 to actor Morris Ankrum and actress Joan Wheeler in Santa Clara, California.

Ankrum now runs a talent agency in Los Angeles, CA: Schiowitz Connor Ankrum Wolf, Inc.
He has been married to Barbara Ankrum (April 7, 1979). They have two grown children.

His younger brother Carey (who was a part of the movie Equinox with David and Dennis Muren) died in a surfing accident in 1989.

Originally auditioned for the role of C-3PO

Was a member of the sketch comedy group "Three and a Half" with Hervé Villechaize, Betty Thomas and David Arkin. Performed at The Hollywood Canteen, 1977.

Mid to late 70s - was employed by a special program called the Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA) which endowed Los Angeles with funds to create Theatre Arts Proram/Los Angeles (TAPLA), it was attached to the City's Recreation and Parks Department.

Dennis Muren was a childhood friend.
