Hairshirt (Too Smooth) (1998) - An exchange between a producer and the main character. Danny (Paras) and his roommate Tim (Brogren) were to write a script treatment together, but Tim said he would do all the writing, they had a month. After the month Tim gave Danny one sheet of paper with barely two paragraphs. So, with no script treatment...90 minutes before a meeting with the producer, Danny gets to the meeting and makes it all up on the fly:
Danny: "Imagine...a younger farmer in the middle of nowhere...in...Scotland. could be Leonardo di Caprio, well what he doesn't know is...not until the farm burns down one day, killing his aunt and uncle, is that he has a special magical power, like a witch, a good witch."

[1] the top of the satellite shown in the opening scenes looks like the Death Star.
[2] When the TV stations are trying to find a signal the interference sounds like Darth Vader's breathing.
[3] the US/Alien jet fight through the Grand Canyon is very similar to that of the trench of the Death Star scene.
[4] As the President (Pullman) and Dr. Okun (Spiner) come through the door (Area 51) leading to where the alien craft is being held/observed, you can see the writing on either side of the doorway (a large entrance), "R" and "2" , the "R" to the left and the "2" to the right (R2 D2)
[5] When the alien craft is released from the platform in Area 51, it hovers. The last shot shows what appears to be a likeness of Darth Vader, at least the top half of him.
